Marty and Gensen,
Sorry I haven't written you before this,
but Melissa and I wanted Batista to get
use to his new home. He's doing great,
adjusting well and spoiled rotten!! The
first week was a bit challenging, but he
listens well and is very very smart.
When he had an accident on the floor -
he’s only had 2 accidents - we took him
to the door and now goes to it, whines
and sits there when he needs to go out
to potty. All the fears we had of how to
get him and our 5 year old Shepherd
Ranya to get along melted away day one;
they've been playing and being best buds
ever since! In fact the hard thing is to
get them to calm down they enjoy each
other's company so much.
Now at 11 weeks we've had him in puppy
training classes for about 2 weeks; he's
learned to sit, come, down and by far is
the best behaved dogs in the class.
Ironically most of the other puppy
parents spend more time with Batista in
between excises than with their own
dogs! Everyone also comments on how
beautiful, calm and well behaved he is.
It's always a small joy to look at the
other dogs in class acting crazy; look
down at Batista sitting attentively at
my side and have him look back up and me
and know we're both thinking the same
thing: what's wrong with that dog LOL.
Plus the fact that he's averaging about
4 pounds a week makes him look like a
new dog every week at class.
Batista is truly a remarkable dog and
has done nothing but exceed our
expectations; which from all the
research we had done and read on your
line says a lot. I honestly didn't think
such a remarkable dog was possible but
your breeding has happily proven
otherwise; he truly represents
everything we have read about your line
and to do so in the span of three weeks
speaks volumes! Every time some one ask
what type of dog he is we both gladly
tell people he's a Cane Corso and after
all the ooo's and aaah's have stopped we
tell them of your line and how
representative of what can be expected
from it he is.
Thank you both for all the time and
effort you helped us with getting
Batista - from talking to us for hours
before he was even here to all the
emails and visits. It truly helped
ensure we made the right decision in
getting Batista from you. I'll try and
send more pictures in a couple of weeks.
