| Hey Marty,
Sergio is doing great! I've had plenty
of experience with different breeds, and
I would now recommend a Cane Corso to
anyone, whether it be a first-time dog
owner, or an aggressive show handler.
Sergio has been such a sweet little pile
of wrinkles since day one. He breaks the
"typical" protection dog temperament by
being accepting and sweet with anyone I
choose to let in my house.
This is going to sound a little weird,
but every morning after he goes outside
to the bathroom,(housebroken in less
than 2 weeks by the way), he goes into
his playpen, and takes all of his toys
out to the family room. He plays for a
while, then it's back to sleep for a few
hours, then he plays
some more, and when he's finished with
his day, he puts all of his toys back in
the playpen, and goes into his crate for
bed. He started doing this a few weeks
ago, all on his own. I don't even know
how you would teach a dog to pick up his
toys when he's finished playing, but he
doesn't seem to mind doing it, so I wont
say anything. And as far as toys go, I
would tell anyone thinking about a
Corso, not to spend the time or money
picking out expensive dog toys and
chews, because they will last less time
than it took to get them. Your Corso
will make his own toys out of 2 liter
bottles, an old towel, basketball, or my
favorite, a wheelbarrow tire. That's
right, my puppy
found the tire to an old wheelbarrow,
and it's his absolute favorite toy. It
weighs about 8 pounds, but he has no
problem throwing it across the yard and
chasing it. It's actually pretty funny
to watch.
I would definitely recommend a Cane
Corso to anyone looking for a family
friend and protector, and a Roman Cane
Corso is definitely at the top of it's
class as far as temperament and looks
go, not to mention brain power as I have
seen. Marty has been so much help since
day one, I can't thank him enough.
Cane Corsos
are an exceptional breed, and it
requires an exceptional breeder to get
it perfect. And if you
don't think Sergio is perfect, then I
would ask you to come tell him that to
his face. I
am a firm believer that what you put in,
is what you get out, so I would like to
thank Marty for putting his all into
producing the world's finest Cane
Corsos.
Sincerely
Cliff Rossner
