Greetings from Tiberius Maximus
and the rest of the Fleming Clan in
California! We wanted to first thank
you for the unending support that
you have unstintingly provided to
us during this entire process. From
choosing a puppy to helping us thru
Max's rocking eating stage, we have
never once felt too embarrassed to
call for advice. You have made this
entire experience a pleasure.
Max is doing wonderfully well. From
the moment our new baby came off the
plane to this very minute as he sleeps
on his back taking up the entire bed
snoring like freight train, he has
been an utter love. He fits right
in with our family - just the right
amount of stubborn, spunky and ornery
with a touch of lazy. You should see
us trying to move him off the bed
when he doesn't want to go anywhere.
Quite a personality!
We are so happy that we've chosen
so well in both the breed and the
breeder. Having a toddler makes all
decisions that much more complicated.
And the Cane Corso, your Cane Corsos,
are the perfect family dogs.
I don't
think that even all of the reading
and preparation we did before Max
came prepared us for what a wonderful
specimen this creature is. From the
magnificent looks – people literally
stop us on the street or at the dog
park – to his sweet and sensitive
personality, we couldn't have made
a better choice. I have to say that
he can go from being the big teddy
bear that he usually is to a fabulous
guard dog all at the age of 16 weeks.
Once, while one of his many mid-afternoon
naps was interrupted by a rather persistent
door to door salesman peaking over
the fence, Max went into full guard
mode and scared the man half to death.
Needless to say, I don't believe that
he'll be back anytime soon.
We are sending pictures so that you
can see how he is growing –
the vet whom we were happy to learn
is originally from the East Coast
and is familiar with the Cane Corso
believes that he has the biggest paws
he has seen on one so young. At 14
weeks, Max weighed in at 43 pounds!
These will be the first of many pics,
Marty.
Sincerely,
Steve, Alicia and Dominic Fleming
PS: Marty there is a saying that I'm
sure your are familiar with.."You
get what you pay for!"
Max is worth every penny..............
