| Dear Marty,
If you remember it all started when
I had wanted to buy a pup for my best
friend’s birthday, as a surprise.
She had done a ton of research on
the Cane Corso and after a year decided,
that was the breed for her. In May
2004 I called and you were sold out.
I told Carolyn of surprise idea and
that sadly I was not able to get one
for her. She wanted to look around
but I was insistent she buy a ROMAN
cane corso, but the cost was an issue.
Finally after checking out a horrible
breeder who offered us two sick pups
who laid in vomit and/or feces, could
only wobble not walk, and the breeder
wasn't even sure what day they were
born..... she decided the pups health
was far more important than the price.
Needless to say within a few days,
we read your testimonials and sent
the deposit (for a male from the Tika
and Nero liter due in July 2004) immediately.
As she spoke about her new pup being
on the way I was so excited for her
I found myself calling it my dog.
Then she suggested since I wanted
a female for my 5 year old son to
find out if any were available from
the same liter. I took her advice
and I sent MY deposit the very next
day! In September 2004 we were ready
to pick out our pups. We were like
excited children on Christmas Eve
waiting for Santa. She was hoping
for a fawn and I was hoping for a
black or brown. Both you and The Whitmans
were so helpful and so knowledgeable.
We were so impressed with the appearance,
temperament, and general health of
all your pups. You both were so patient
with us as we had so many questions
and took a long time to decide which
ones would be best for us. Finally,
we left with My black brindle female,
Bella Gianna and Carolyn’s fawn
male Dante. These pups are so well
socialized within one week I had taken
Bella to the bus stop where she was
promptly greeted by 11 (5-12 year
old) children, a football game where
parents and children ran up to pet
her, and a festival. We take her EVERYWHERE
!
I have had to call and email both
you and Paul with questions and concerns
especially in the beginnning as Bella
needed to find her place in My pack,
and you both are always so good about
taking the time to help and give advice.
Bella Gianna is a great pup and my
son has a great relationship with
her. He plays rough, pulls her tail,
grabs her paws and I have even caught
him pushing his head under her lifting
her 2 back paws off the ground and
she just wags her tail and kisses
his face.
Thank you so much for this beautiful
pup. We have two older dogs at home
and Holly has taken to Bella as if
she were her own baby. I have attached
some pics to show you how good Bella
is with CJ.
Thanks for all your time and keep
raising those beautiful dogs !
